I hate flowers-I
paint them because they're cheaper than models and they don't move.

artisan lofts
- The
historic Curley School has been renovated into affordable live/work rentals for artists
of all media and creative home businesses. The grand opening was held on May 29, 2007
and the first tenants moved into the main building on June 1.
- The
word "lofts" is used for all our rental units--ground floor, second, floor, or
otherwise. It connotes the spacious, lofty feeling of our high ceilinged, light and
airy artisan apartments.
- Studio,
1-bedroom, 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom units have spacious open floor plans, high ceilings,
spectacular light and rents ranging from $207 to $625 per month
- Ajo
is centrally located in a region of important art and crafts fairs.
The galleries and art markets of Phoenix, Scottsdale, Sedona, Tucson, Bisbee and Tubac are
within a few hours' drive. San Diego and Santa Fe are a day away.
- Ajo
is a friendly, safe small town with a low cost of living. Many artisans are already
in residence.
- Our
weather is warm and sunny year-round. We are only an hour from Mexico and two hours from
the Sea of Cortez/Gulf of California.
- Beautiful
Sonoran Desert surrounds us with its lush landscape of bajada, rock outcroppings,
dramatic mountains and abundant varieties of cactus and wildlife.
- Our
air is clear. Our sunsets spectacular. Our night skies a knockout. And
the evening coyote chorus spine-tingling.
- We
are proud of being a multicultural town, and Curley School reflects that diversity.
