other amenities

The eight-building campus of the Curley School provides ample space for additional amenities beyond the live/work apartments of its residents.

The former library on the second floor of the main building is used as a public meeting/gathering place. The lofty, maple-floored auditorium serves as a venue for art exhibitions, conferences, dances, and yoga classes; its raised indoor-outdoor stage hosts concerts, live theater and dance performances. Other buildings house a 10-station computer lab and classroom space for art workshops. Rough classroom space is also available to rent as additional studio space.

The elegant former school cafeteria is now the Cafeteria Gallery, a retail art gallery featuring work of both Curley School and local artists.  Regularly scheduled exhibitions are hosted throughout the year. The rear part of this building houses ISDA’s Administrative Offices and the Print Shop.

The Print Shop is a unique venture which seeks to provide its members access to a shared infrastructure of business services and marketing channels. Its services include printing and copying, large format printing, packaging and shipping, computer services, classes in business planning, etc., and counseling and finance assistance.

The former manual arts building is now being revamped into spacious shared work areas. These include a wood shop, mosaic studio, and a well equipped clay studio. There will be a fee to use these work areas.
