Tri-National Sonoran Symposium Returns to the Curley School

The Tri-National Sonoran Symposium returns to Ajo March 9–12, bringing together people from across the Sonoran Desert region for four days of learning, conversation and connection at the Curley School Creative Campus.

This recurring gathering creates an opportunity for participants from across the United States, Mexico and the broader Sonoran Desert region to exchange ideas, share knowledge and explore the environmental, cultural and community issues that connect this unique landscape.

Four Days of Learning & Exploration

The Symposium begins on Monday, March 9, with field trips offering participants opportunities to experience the Sonoran Desert firsthand.

From March 10–12, programming moves to the Curley School with presentations, breakout sessions and conversations featuring a diverse group of speakers and participants.

Throughout the week, the historic Curley School will serve as a gathering place for people interested in the landscapes, communities, cultures and shared future of the Sonoran Desert region.

Join the Volunteer Team

Community volunteers are an important part of making the Symposium possible, and volunteers are currently needed to help with:

• Registration

• Meet and greet

• Session monitoring

• IT and technical support

A volunteer meeting will be held on Thursday, March 5 at 3:30 p.m. in the Cholla Room at the Sonoran Desert Inn & Conference Center.
